Cumbrian Jobs is growing, and we’re looking for friendly, reliable volunteer moderators to help look after our Cumbrian Jobs Facebook groups.

Our goal is to grow active, helpful communities while making sure members are getting the right information, real job opportunities, and a safe, positive space to engage.

What you’ll help with

As a moderator, you’ll support the group by:

• Checking job posts are genuine, clearly written, and not scams
• Making sure members follow the group rules
• Posting fun, engaging content related to jobs, work, and life in Cumbria
• Sharing job vacancies from the Cumbrian Jobs website into the correct Facebook groups
• Letting people know they’re welcome to post jobs on CumbrianJobs
• Helping grow the group by sharing:
• Employer posts
• Working-life facts
• Tips, questions, and fun discussion starters about jobs and careers

What to expect

• This is a voluntary role
• There’s no pressure to monitor the group constantly — just help out when you’re already browsing Facebook
• You’ll be added to a WhatsApp group with Cumbrian Jobs Admin and other moderators to chat, share updates, and support each other
